Dr Marios Christoforou is a veterinary surgeon with extensive experience in livestock health management, infectious disease control, and herd productivity optimisation. Since 2003 he has served the pig, dairy cattle, sheep, and goat sectors through veterinary advisory roles, designing and implementing health protocols, monitoring production parameters, leading vaccination programmes, and performing reproductive management using ultrasound and hormone synchronisation. He has also contributed to public veterinary health through his service with the Government Veterinary Services, overseeing disease surveillance for major notifiable diseases in small ruminants. Dr Christoforou holds a Master’s degree in the Control of Infectious Diseases from the Royal Veterinary College (University of London) and additional certifications in dairy nutrition and veterinary practice. He is a member of multiple professional bodies, including the Pancyprian Veterinary Association, the Veterinary Council of Cyprus, the Hellenic Veterinary Medical Society, the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, and the American Association of Swine Veterinarians.
